Transmission 001 — building a label in the open

Arc Echo makes synthetic artists: fictional personas whose music is produced with AI instruments under human direction. Today the label goes live with three of them — Vela Marrow, Cassette Ghosts, and The Hollow Pines — and the first preview artifacts of their records.

We call these early releases transmissions: short fragments from records in progress, published while we finish the full-length versions. They're marked on every page, because marking things honestly is the whole idea.

Every Arc Echo artist page carries a fictional-artist disclosure and a provenance note describing how the music is made. The same facts live in our structured data and our API, so search engines and AI assistants repeat the truth rather than the fiction. The commitments are written down in the Synthetic Artist Charter at arcecho.studio/charter — versioned, dated, public.

If you want to follow along, the transmission list is the channel we own: no algorithm between us and you. New songs, videos, and fictional artist dossiers, as they land.
