Cassette Ghosts

Cassette Ghosts

synthwave, electronic · Berlin, Germany · since 2017

Cassette Ghosts is the solo vehicle of Berlin producer Ana Reyes — analog synthesizers, drum machines older than she is, and melodies that remember a 1985 that never happened. Every Cassette Ghosts record is mixed to a TASCAM four-track before mastering; the hiss is the signature.

Neon Reverie, her third full-length and first for Arc Echo, was written between club residencies and night trains.

Analog-modeled synthesizers, drum machines, four-track hiss, neon vibrato — a 1985 that never happened.

Provenance

Cassette Ghosts' tracks are AI-performed from detailed synthwave briefs (instrument palettes, arpeggio patterns, era references) written by Arc Echo's producers, then edited, sequenced, and mixed by hand with deliberate tape artifacts. 'Ana Reyes' is a fictional persona. A named human editor signs off on every release.
